This morning, on the last work day of our Chapter, the Sisters from Italy animated the prayer by helping us to meditate on Mary’s words: “Do whatever He tells you” (John 2:5), and on the concrete responses that Fr. Jordan and Mother Mary of the Apostles gave to God’s call. At the end we offered to Mary, our Mother, the response that we want to give today, as Salvatorian Women. This was led by Sr. Therezinha Rasera, who read our Priorities, defined yesterday by the Chapter, and placed them in the hands of the statue of Our Lady.
Afterwards, we honored Sr. Inez Razera, Sr. Barbara Bartkowski and Sr. Dulcelene Ceccato on the occasion of their birthdays.
During the whole morning the Sisters met with the others from their respective Units to reflect on how to implement the Priorities and Proposals of the General Chapter. Then, in different groups they evaluated the Chapter and returned to the plenary session, in the afternoon, to share their impressions and experiences.
We concluded this day with a celebration of the Eucharist prepared by the Sisters from Santa Catarina, Brazil, and presided by Fr. Milton Zonta, SDS, (Brazil), member of the General Council of the Society of the Divine Savior. At the end of the liturgy, all the Brazilian Sisters gave a special symbolic thanks to the Sisters from Germany for the first missionary that they sent 70 years ago to found the Salvatorian Sisters in Brazil.
