We began today with a prayer prepared and led by the Sisters from the United States; its theme was “Looking to the future with Hope”.
During one part of the morning all the Sisters had time for personal reflection, to integrate the analyses of the reports from the Salvatorian Units and the General Leadership of the Congregation, as well as what was learned from the Logos, the formal talks and the sharing in the Mini-Plenary Sessions.
Afterwards the small groups met to share and synthesize what was discerned, having in mind the Mission Priorities that will be chosen for the next six years of the Congregation.
At the end of the afternoon, all the Sisters returned to the chapter room to present their report and to hear the synthesis of the groups. This consisted of about forty sentences or ideas, on which we will reflect again on the following days in order to arrive at the Mission Priorities. A lively discussion followed about the meaning and importance of the theology of the Religious Life toward which God is leading us.
We concluded the day with a celebration of the Eucharist presided by Fr. Piet Cuijpers, Vice-General Superior of the Society of the Divine Savior.
