Sister Therezinha Joana Rasera has been re-elected Coordinator General of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Savior.
She was born in David Canabarro – RS, Brazil, and belongs to the Salvatorian Province of Santa
Catarina. She graduated in Liberal Arts from the University of Southeast
Paraná, and in Psychology from the Catholic Pontifical University of
Paraná, as well as completing diverse courses in the area of spirituality.
Her apostolic experience has been in Education as a teacher and in Pastoral Ministry with ecclesial communities. She has been active in the Formation of new members of the Congregation and in directing retreats, in her Unit and on an intercongregational level. She was a Councilor, then Coordinator of her Unit, and then General Coordinator of the Congregation from 2002 to 2006. Presently she is the President of the International Union of General Superiors, headquartered in Rome.
We Salvatorian Sisters applaud her with great affection and support her with participative collaboration and our prayers for her mission of leading our Congregation for the period 2007 to 2012.
