This morning the Sisters from Germany prepared the center motif with colorful cloths to symbolize the continents. They led us in prayer with an incentive to re-live the experience of Mary Magdalene, the first disciple to be sent by the Risen Lord into mission. We were invited to say our names aloud and then symbolically place our feet and our lights on the continents, for Jesus, our Savior, sends us into the midst of our people to announce solidarity, hope and life.

During the first part of the morning we analyzed and gave suggestions for the text of the Declaration and Priorities of the XIX General Chapter. We continued in plenary sessions for the rest of the day, analyzing and voting on the Proposals.

We concluded this day with a Eucharistic Celebration presided by Fr. Juan Carrasquilla, SDS (Colombia) and after supper we had recreation with those Sister of the Rome Region who live in the Mother House.
