October 31 – Conclusion of the 20th General Chapter
Today we concluded the 20th General Chapter with a solemn liturgy celebrated by the Cardinal João Braz de Avis, Prefect of the Congregation of the Institutes of Consecrated Life and Apostolic Societies who addressed us with his words encouraging us to renew our vocation to be a living Gospel to our world. During the thanksgiving Sisters Therezinha Rasera and Edith Bramberger called the leaders of the Units and gave them a shell with pearls, one for each of the delegates of their Unit. This is the symbol of life that we experienced in the chapter and now they are committed to bring this life to their Units as they return from our deep experience of discernment in the Spirit.
After the mass we gather in the refectory of the Mother House for a festive supper and the good bye for some sisters who are returning to their countries in the morning. We are grateful to our Divine Saviour for the graces we received. Thanks to all the sisters, women in formation, friends, and members of the Salvatorian Family who supported us with prayers and followed us on our journeys through our home page. God bless all of you!
