Sisters of the Poland province celebrated the 90th anniversary of their Salvatorian presence in Poland on 23 Nov 2019. Many distinguished guests such as S. Ewa Tonacka SDS, S. Jacqueline Mwakasu SDS (general councillors) Fr.Dariusz Partyka SDS representative of the Province of Salvatorian Fathers, Ireneusz Kiełbasa SDS, the main speaker of the session, Fr. Leonard Czuchoński SDS, chaplain of the Sisters’ Community in Goczałkowice and Fr. Lesław Przepłata, Pastor of the Goczałkowice parish, the lay salvatorian’s communities and the national leader Mr. Wojciech Apelbaum were present. During the meeting S. Ewa Tonacka , S. Jacqueline Mwakasu presented the congratulatory letter from the Generalate and passed on the blessing of Pope Francis. Salvatorian Sisters from various institutions of the Province and other benefactors of our Congregation were also present in the celebration. After Eucharistic celebration the general Archivist of the Provincial Salvatorian fathers, Dr. Ireneusz gave an inspiring talk on the history of the both male and female branches of the Congregation in Poland. The afternoon part of the session was devoted to the current affairs of the Sisters’ Province. S. Margaret gave the gist of the functioning and the situation of the new community that we recently opened in Berlin, as well as the character of the work and ministry that our sisters perform there. S. Magdalena also spoke about her three months mission experience in the United States. She presented a new project of spiritual renewal proposed by the Vocations Department, consisting of fasting and praying for new vocations. It was also a moment to ask questions, share reflections and express gratitude. In a few words, S. Jacqueline, Mr. Wojciech and S. Noemi did it, thanking everyone for such numerous and active participation in celebrating our anniversary.
