Jordan

As part of thre Holy Land Region in 1999 a mission in Jordan was founded. The 3 missionaries from Germany and Sri Lanka are living in a community in Amman. The coordinator of the “Holy Land Region” which includes also Israel and Palastine is S. Mirjam Göksun. The sisters are engaged in accompaniment, support, defense and pastoral care of migrants, mainly women from Sri Lanka.  

Israel

In 1958 the first sisters – from Switzerland – went to Israel. Today there are 13 missionaries from Germany, Austria, South Tyrol, Poland and Colombia living in Nazareth and in Qubeibe-Emmaus, Palestine. The coordinator of the Holy Land Region which includes also Jordan is S. Mirjam Göksun. The sisters are promoting justice and peace by providing education of children and youth; social work and care for handicapped and elderly abandoned women; promoting Arabic young women in the conflictive area of Palestine by organizing a nursing school.
